Legend
Axial T2WIs demonstrate a large heterogeneous mass in the left temporal and occipital lobes.
The mass is hyperintense centrally, with a peripheral rim of hypointensity, possibly related
to hemosiderin or free radicals. Adjacent vasogenic edema is noted with significant mass effect
and mid line shift. The right lateral ventricle is dilated.
Legend
Left: Axial FLAIR shows similar findings as seen on T2WIs.
Middle: Coronal T1WI shows an intermediate signal lesion. Temporal lobe herniation (arrow)
through the tentorial incisura produces mass effect on the midbrain.
Right: Axial DWI shows a markedly hypointense lesion with no restricted diffusion. Surrounding
hyperintensity likely is T2 shine-through from surrounding edema.
Legend
Axial and Coronal post contrast T1WIs with fat saturation show irregular peripheral enhancement.
