Image 1: Coronal T1 weighted image of the neck demonstrates a mass
lesion deforming and partially occluding the oropharynx. Inferior
extension of the lesion to involve the epiglottis is shown.
Images 2, 3 & 4: Axial T2 weighted images reveal the lesion as hyperintense
area on both sides of the tongue posteriorly. Multiple hyperintense nodules
seen at both sides of the neck are enlarged cervical lymph nodes.

Image 5: Coronal post gadolinium fat saturation T1 weighted image shows enhancement
of the tongue lesion with extension to lateral wall of oropharynx and soft palate.
Images 6 & 7: Axial post gadolinium fat saturation T1 weighted images reveal the
enhancing tongue lesion causing distortion of the oropharynx. The cervical lymph nodes
along the jugular chain also enhance. (T. Lai)
