Images 1 & 2: Axial proton density weighted images of the brain reveal absence
of normal flow void of the cavernous segment of the Lt internal carotid artery.
Normal flow void is seen in the anterior and middle cerebral arteries.
Image 3 : Axial proton density weighted image shows lack of flow void in Lt internal
carotid artery at the upper part of the neck.
Image 4: MR angiogram collapse image demonstrates again the absence of Lt
internal carotid artery. The anterior and posterior communicating arteries provide
collateral to the left carotid circulation.
Images 5 & 6: Source images of TOF study reveal the lack of normal high signal
of Lt internal carotid artery at base of skull. (T. Lai)
