Legend Axial T2W and FLAIR images demonstrate asymmetric fusiform enlargement of left optic nerve. This is especially apparent just distal to the optic chiasm.

Legend Axial T2 and FLAIR images also reveal hyperintensities in the cerebellar hemispheres, both thalami, and in the right lentiform nucleus.

Legend Coronal T1W image (upper left) shows extension back to the chiasm. Coronal and axial T1 images following contrast administration demonstrate only mild enhancement of the optic nerve mass.
