Intraparenchymal hemorrhage with mass effect upon the adjacent ventricular atrium
and mild midline shift is present in the right temporal-parietal region. Hemorrhage
also extends into both the lateral and third ventricles.
AP and lateral views from a right internal carotid artery angiogram demonstrates
a small vascular nidus fed by branches from the middle cerebral artery with an
early draining vein from the nidus to the transverse sinus.
The top left image is a pretreatment angiogram performed through a microcatheter
which is in the feeding vessel to the AVM nidus. The bottom images were performed
following embolization with PVA particles and shows obliteration of the vascular nidus
and the early draining vein.
