Legend There is abnormal soft tissue density which completely fills and expands the left middle ear cavity on the axial CT image. The head of the malleus is demineralized. There is also opacification of the mastoid air cells.

Legend On coronal images expansion of the middle ear cavity with ballooning of the tegmen tympani superiorly is well seen. Demineralization of the ossicles is again noted. Key words: temporal bone tumor neoplasia inflammation
