MRI Neck; Ax T2W (left), and Cor T1W (right top and bottom): A heterogeneously
T2W hyperintense lesion in the right carotid space, which is isointense to muscle
on T1W. Some linear hypointense areas are also present. It causes mass effect
on the parapharyngeal space anteromedially.
MRI Neck; Sag T1W (left top), Ax T1W (left bottom), and Ax T1W Post-Gd (right top and bottom):
A slightly T1W hyperintense oval lesion just superior to the flow voids of the carotid artery
bifurcation, which enhances heterogeneously.
MRA Neck; 2D TOF (left top and bottom), and Gadolinium enhanced MRA (center
and right top and bottom): Splaying of the right ICA and ECA at the level of the bulb
by the hypervascular enhancing mass.
