A spherical lesion is seen in the left frontal lobe. It is centered in the gray white junction
and is surrounded by vasogenic edema. It has a low signal rim on T2 images and an
irregular contour directed towards the central white matter.
The lesion is bright on diffusion weighted images consistent with restricted
diffusion. The periphery is low signal on the gradient-echo image (left).
The lesion demonstrated thin, regular peripheral enhancement. The enhancing rim
is marginally thinner towards the central white matter.
