Legend Axial T2 and Flair images show areas of hyperintensity in the deep white matter as well as the left thalamus. The abnormal foci span multiple vascular territories.

Legend T1 images show increased signal consistent with methemoglobin in the superior sagittal sinus, vein of Galen and left transverse sinus. Flair image (left) shows area of increased signal suggesting hemorrhagic venous infarcts in a para-falcine distribution.

Legend Post contrast images show thrombus instead of flow in the superior sagittal sinus. MR venogram shows absent signal in the superior sagittal sinus, deep cerebral veins and straight sinus. Key words: mri mrv vascular stroke
