Coronal CT demonstrates completely opacified middle ear and mastoid air cells with
erosion of bone laterally. There's also opacification of the external ear canal.
Axial CT scans show opacification of the middle ear and the external auditory canal
as well as the eustachian tube. There's also coalescence of the mastoid air cells
and bony erosion laterally with adjacent soft tissue swelling.
