Legend
Axial FLAIR and T2 images show a hyperintense lesion within the left occipital lobe
extending into the splenium of the corpus callosum with resultant mass effect upon the
trigone of the left lateral ventricle. A thick rim of intermediate signal intensity tissue is
noted along the posterior margin of the lesion. The T2 image shows a developing
thin rim of hypointensity surrounding the hyperintense component consistent with
developing hemosiderin from hemorrhage.
Legend
Coronal precontrast T1 (center), and Axial post Gadolinium T1 (bottom left and right) images
show central hyperintensity from hemorrhage, as well as a thick rim of abnormal enhancement.
Peri- and intraventricular spread of enhancing tumor is noted as well (bottom left). Tumor
extends across the midline within the corpus callosum (bottom right).
