Legend
Image 1: Axial T1 weighted image of the orbits reveals an elongated mass lesion
of intermediate signal intensity in the Lt optic nerve.
Image 2 & 3: Axial post gadolinium fat saturation T1 weighted images of the orbit
and suprasellar region demonstrate the Lt optic nerve mass lesion as heterogeneously
enhancing area with posterior extension to the Lt side of the optic chiasma.

Image 4: Oblique sagittal post gadolinium fat saturation T1 weighted image of
the Lt orbit shows the peripheral enhancement of the lesion.
Images 5 - 8: Oblique coronal post contrast fat saturation images from the orbital
apex (5) to the optic chiasm (8) demonstrate again the peripheral enhancement of
the Lt optic nerve lesion with posterior extension through the optic foramen to the chiasm.
