Legend
Image 1 & 2: Sagittal T2 weighted images of cervical spine show hyperintense
lesion in the spinal cord from C2 to C5 level. High signal area is also seen in the
region of intraspinous ligament posteriorly and prevertebral region anteriorly.
Legend
Image 3: Sagittal T1 weighted image demonstrates the spinal cord lesion
as subtle low signal area. The prevertebral lesion appears heterogeneous
with areas of mixed signal intensity.
Images 4 & 5: Axial T2 weighted images show once again high signal
intramedullary lesion with cord enlargement.
Legend
Images 6 & 7: Sagittal post gadolinium fat saturation T1 weighted images demonstrate
intense enhancement in the regions of intraspinous ligament and prevertebral space.
Bony discontinuity and displacement of the C7 spinous process is also noted.
Images 8 & 9: Axial post contrast fat saturation T1 weighted images show again the
enhancement in regions of prevertebral space and intraspinous ligament with a fracture
of C7 spinous process. No significant contrast enhancement seen in the spinal cord.
