Image 1 & 2: Axial T2 and proton density images of brain show a well defined
slightly heterogeneous lesion situated anterior to the third ventricle. The lesion
is mainly low signal on T2 and high signal on proton density images.
Legend
Lt: Sagittal post gadolinium fat saturation T1 weighted image demonstrates the lesion
as hyperintensity area in suprasellar region with slightly lobulated outline.
Top and Bottom Rt: Coronal pre and post gadolinium fat saturation T1 weighted images
show the lesion as hyperintense area in suprasellar region with extension to adjacent
cistern and pituitary fossa. The Rt optic nerve indents the Rt side of the lesion.
There may be some contrast enhancement along the right superior margin of the mass.
