Axial contrast CT scans through the nasopharynx (left) and oropharynx (right) reveal marked
enlargement of the adenoids and tonsils. The parapharyngeal spaces are symmetric and normal.
Additional CT images demonstrate diffuse enlargement of Waldeyer’s ring, causing mass effect
on the oropharynx. The jugulo-digastric nodes are enlarged without central necrosis.
Multiple normal-sized lymph nodes are seen throughout the cervical chains bilaterally.
