Legend
Sagittal T2 (left image) and T1 images of the lumbar spine show a mostly low signal
intensity mass extending into the spinal canal and right L5-S1 neural foramen. Low signal
material is also seen anteriorly with superior and inferior extension along the vertebrae.
Edema (Type I change) is identified in the anterior-inferior L5 vertebrae.
Legend
Sagittal and axial post contrast T1 weighted images show enhancement anterior to the L5-S1
disc space and in the adjacent vertebral bodies. A right hemilaminectomy and partial
facetectomy have been preformed. Epidural enhancement is also seen extending into the right
subarticular recess and neural foramen.
