Legend
Left: Coronal CT of the paranasal sinuses shows soft tissue density filling the left
maxillary sinus and bowing the medial wall of the sinus into the nasal cavity. Rounded
soft tissue density is also seen arising from the floor of the right maxillary sinus.
Right: Axial T2 and Coronal T1 images of the sinuses show that the right maxillary sinus
density has high T2 and low T1 signal, well defined borders and spherical shape. The left
maxillary sinus mass has heterogeneously low T1 and T2 signal with expansion into the nasal
cavity. The floor of the left orbit remains intact.
Legend
Contrast enhanced coronal and axial T1 images show no enhancement of the right maxillary
mass. However, the left maxillary mass enhances almost uniformly with an area of
non-enhancement in its lateral aspect.
