Legend
Axial T2W (left) and FLAIR (right) images show a solid and irregular extra-axial mass
located in the pre bulbar cistern, with slightly bright signal on both images. Note the thin
CSF cleft between the mass and the brain. The mass is compressing and displacing the medulla
posteriorly . The right vertebral artery is encased by the lesion.
Legend
Sagittal T1WI pre (upper left) and postcontrast (lower left) and axial T1WI postcontrast
(right) show the solid dural-based mass with isointense signal on the pre contrast image
and with homogeneous enhancement on the post contrast images. The lesion extends inferiorly
through the foramen magnum. The flow void within the right vertebral artery is preserved,
indicating that it remains patent.
