Legend
Lobulated mass located at the skull base to the right exhibits heterogeneous signal,
predominantly high on T2 (left) and low on the T1 (middle) weighted images. The inferior
clivus and anterior arch of C1 are destroyed. The mass extends anteriorly into the
prevertebral space, and posteriorly into the basal cisterns and upper spinal canal.
After contrast injection (right) there is heterogeneous enhancement of the lesion.
Legend
Coronal (left) and axial (middle) postcontrast fat-suppressed T1WIs show the heterogeneous
enhancing mass with probable extension to the right pre-vertebral muscle.
The CT (right) shows the extensive destruction of the clivus and right occipital bone,
including the occipital condyle.
