Legend
T1(left image) and multiple T2-weighted sagittal and axial images of the thoracic spine
show a heterogeneous mass involving the entire length of the spinal cord. The lesion exhibits
prolongation of both T1 and T2 relaxation times. Both solid and cystic component are present at
the level of the conus, but superiorly, multiple cystic components expand the cord and thin the
cord parenchyma.
Legend
Sagittal (left) and axial (right) postcontrast T1WIs show enhancement of the heterogeneous conus
lesion. The more proximal and cystic aspect does not enhance.
