Legend The unmyelinated lobar white matter presents low signal on the 3 consecutive axial T1WIs and high signal on the T2WI (upper right), which is normal for the age. Myelination is present in the brain stem, and cerebellum and has progressed to the level of the corona radiata.

Legend Spectroscopy. Upper right -basal ganglia with long TE - there is increased Choline/creatine ratio and decreased NAA/creatine ratio compared to adults.
