Focal, round area of abnormal FLAIR signal in the right frontal lobe with associated surrounding signal abnormality extending to the right and to a lesser extent left frontal white matter. Matching signal abnormality is present on the T2W images. No significant mass effect.

Legend Left: Post Gad T1W images with spectroscopy boxes; Diffusion weighted axial image at the level of the abnormality; spectroscopy images matching the boxes. There is "ring" enhancement on the post contrast image. No restricted diffusion is present; Spectroscopy #1: Very high lipid peak masks other metabolite; Spectroscopy #2: Low Choline, and elevated glutamates and lipids; findings#1 are consistent with necrotic tissue; findings #2 are consistent with a non-neoplastic lesion.
