Legend
Sagittal T2W, axial T1W sequences demonstrate fatty signal intensity throughout the involved
lumbar vertebral body with linear low signal striations due to thickened trabeculae.
There is associated extra osseous extension into epidural space and cord compression.
The epidural mass is intermediate in signal on T1 and hyperintense on the T2W sequences.
Legend
Sagittal T1 and enhanced T1WIs show enhancing epidural tissue contiguous with the diffusely
abnormal vertebral body compressing the thecal sac . In addition, there is abnormal enhancement
of the posterior elements at this level and abnormal perivertebral enhancement.
