Axial T2 FSE sequences with fat suppression through floor of mouth demonstrating a unilocular
cystic mass. This well-defined mass involves the right sublingual space and extends inferiorly
behind the posterior margin of the mylohyoid muscle to expand into the right submandibular space.
Legend
Axial and coronal noncontrast images again demonstrating extension of the mass posteriorly
into the submandibular space, effacing and displacing the right submandibular gland medially.
The mass herniates posteriorly and laterally around the posterior margin of the mylohyoid
muscle. Post contrast images demonstrate thin rim enhancement with no solid intramural
enhancing components, confirming the cystic nature of the mass.
