T2-weighted and FLAIR sequences demonstrate a large lobulated left frontal
lobe hyperintense mass with irregular, nodular hypointensity laterally. There
is associated mass effect, effacement of the left lateral ventricle, and rightward
midline shift, as well as surrounding vasogenic edema.
Pre and post-contrast T1-weighted sequences demonstrate a large lobulated
left frontal lobe peripherally-enhancing hypointense mass with associated mass
effect, effacement of the left lateral ventricle, and rightward midline shift.
Single voxel MR spectroscopy demonstrates low N-acetyl aspartate (NAA)
(2.0), elevated Choline (3.2), low Creatine (3.0), elevated lactate (1.3) and a
small lipid peak (0.9). Multivoxel MR spectroscopy demonstrates a normal
spectroscopic pattern surrounding the mass supporting a noninfiltrative mass.
Contrast CT of the chest demonstrates a large speculated right upper lobe mass.
