Axial non-contrast CT images through the skull base demonstrate high density
material in the basal cisterns, consistent with subarachnoid hemorrhage.
The fourth ventricle is also filled with acute blood. The temporal horns
of the lateral ventricles are dilated.
CT angiography images and surface-shaded reconstructions demonstrate a
wide-necked aneurysm at the left vertebrobasilar junction.
