T2 (left) and T1 sagittal images demonstrate marked low marrow signal in all
visualized vertebral bodies. The T2 coronal image of the brain shows a similar
replacement of fatty marrow in the calvarium. Coronal T2 image through the chest
and abdomen shows loss of signal in the spleen and liver, confirming iron deposition.
