Legend
1: Sagittal T2 weighted image (T2WI) of the lumbar spine reveals decreased AP
diameter of the central canal with minimal epidural defect at L3-4 and L4-5 levels.
Mild degenerative disk disease is also identified at L4-5 and L5-S1 levels with
disk desiccation.
2: Sagittal T1WI again shows small central canal AP diameter.
Legend
3: Axial T1WI at L-4 level reveals short pedicles, flattened anterior surface of the
thecal sac, and small AP diameter of the spinal canal.
4 & 5: Axial T2WIs of the same level show the narrowed central canal, which has
a trefoil configuration.
