Legend
1 & 2: Sagittal T2WIs of the cervical spine show severe narrowing of the central
canal at the C5-6 level from posterior disk extrusion, as well as abnormal high
signal in the cord. Epidural defects from degenerative disk disease cause
mild to moderate central canal stenosis at other levels
3 & 4: Axial T2WIs show moderate (3) and severe (4) central canal narrowing.
Legend
5,6 & 7: Sagittal and axial T1WIs with gadolinium reveal abnormal enhancement
of the cord lesion and central canal stenosis at C5-6 level.
