Legend
1 & 2: Axial T2WIs at the level of the upper thalami and lateral ventricles demonstrate
patchy to confluent white matter hyperintensity. A focal bright signal intensity is in
the posterolateral aspect of the right thalamus. Also noted is the round hypointensity
in the periphery of the left parietal lobe with surrounding hyperintensity (1).
Legend
3: Axial T2WI at the mid thalami level again shows the focal hyperintense lesion
on the right and patchy white matter hyperintensity.
4: Axial T1WI at the same level shows the hypointensity of the same lesion.
The white matter abnormality is more subtle on the T1WI. The left parietal lesion
seen in (1) is not in the field of view.
Legend
5: Axial T1WI with gadolinium disclose ring enhancement of the right
thalamic and left parietal lesions.
6: Coronal T1WI with gadolinium with enhancing right thalamic lesion.
