Legend
Masses filling each and every neuroforamen are low signal on T1 (1, 2) and
high signal on T2 (3) on these sagittal images. Note that the distal central
canal does not appear normal on image 1.
Legend
The masses enlarge the neuroforamina and extend into the paraspinal regions.
Legend
The masses enhance with gadolinium, particularly at their peripheries. Note
that the mass within the central canal is much easier to see than on image 1.
Legend
Notice the heterogeneous appearance at the expected location of the psoas
muscles on a coronal image. Axial images reveal that the psoas muscles
are displaced anteriorly by presacral heterogeneous masses with signal
characteristics matching those of the neuroforaminal masses. The S1
neuroforamina are enlarged by enhancing masses.
