Legend
Sagittal T1 images (1, 2) of the lumbar spine reveal a low signal-intensity mass
partially replacing marrow signal within the sacrum. The lesion is expansile,
and is high signal on T2 (3). No significant soft tissue component is seen.
Legend
Axial PD (4, 5) and T2 (6) images show that the mass does not cross the SI joint
and that the ilium is not involved. The left S1 foramen is obliterated by the mass.
Legend
Sagittal (7) and axial (8, 9) gadolinium-enhanced images show marked enhancement
of the sacral mass. Both the left S1 and S2 foramina are involved by the mass.
