Rt & Lt images: Axial T2 weighted images of brain show replacement of high CSF
signal in Meckel's cave on the Rt by isointense lesion that extends anteriorly into
the Rt cavernous sinus. The lesion shows convex lateral border and displaces
the cavernous portion of Rt internal carotid artery anteriorly.
Top image: Axial T1 weighted image demonstrates the previously noted Rt
cavernous sinus lesion as isointense area to brain tissue.
Bottom Rt & Lt images: Axial post gadolinium T1 weighted images reveal
intense enhancement of the lesion. The posterior portion of the Rt cavernous
carotid artery is encased by the mass.
Rt & Lt images: Coronal post gadolinium T1 weighted images show again
the homogeneously enhancing Rt cavernous sinus lesion. Adjacent dural
enhancement is also seen.
