Rt & Lt images: Axial CT scan images of brain reveal no obvious
abnormal density or mass effect, but the gray-white contrast is
poor and the ventricles are small.
Rt & Lt images: Follow up axial CT scan images with and without contrast
demonstrate diffuse decrease in attenuation of the brain tissue with blurring of
the gray-white matter demarcation. Lateral ventricles and cortical sulci are com-
pressed from the brain edema. No contrast enhancement of brain tissue is seen.
Rt & Lt images: Axial CT scan images at different levels show similar
appearance of diffuse low density in the supratentorial brain tissue,
with relative sparing of the brain stem and cerebellum.
