Legend
Left and right: axial T2WI's show a round heterogeneous lesion in the
right cerebellar peduncle with some mass effect on the fourth ventricle
and brain stem. It has a hyperintense halo and mixed internal signals.
Middle: On PDWI the lesion halo remains hyperintense. Mixed
internal signals are again seen.
Legend
Top: Axial T1WI reveals some focal high signal within the mass, consistent
with methemoglobin.
Bottom: Axial and coronal T1WI's with gadolinium disclose no enhancement.
Legend
Left & right: axial T2 and coronal T1WI's show interval decrease in size
of the lesion and some persistent heterogeneous signal intensity.
Middle: axial gradient echo image shows loss of signal with blooming,
consistent with hemosiderin.
Legend
Left: Collapse and source images from a TOF MRA show no abnormal vascularity.
The mildly hyperintense areas on the lower right image were felt to represent
some remaining signal from methemoglobin.
