Sagittal T2 (left) and T1 (right) weighted images show expanded spinal
cord with pockets of CSF like intensities. Traumatic and degenerative
changes of spine with severe kyphosis are seen. Note the loss of
vertebral body height, and disc desiccation. The actual cord volume,
excluding the cavities, is decreased.
Legend
Axial T2WI's show the configurations of the CSF-like cystic structures
with cord expansion and cord atrophy more inferiorly.
