Legend
Image 1 & 4: Axial T2 weighted images of the head reveal a large heterogeneous
anterior midline mass lesion involving the orbits, ethmoidal and frontal sinuses.
The frontal skull bone appears destroyed.
Images 2 & 3: Axial T2 and proton density weighted images demonstrate
intracranial extension of the lesion with significant mass effect on adjacent brain tissue.
Legend
Image 5: Coronal T1 weighted image shows the intracranial extension of the
lesion as heterogeneously hypointense area in the Lt frontal region.
The involvement of the ethmoidal sinus and both orbits by the lesion is also noted.
Images 6 &7: Coronal post gadolinium T1 weighted images demonstrate
heterogeneous enhancement of the lesion with extensive intracranial involvement.
The frontal horns are deformed by the lesion. Extensive involvement of the orbits
and ethmoidal sinus is well shown.
Legend
Image 8: Axial post contrast fat saturation T1 weighted image of orbit shows again
the heterogeneous enhancing lesion which involves both orbits and ethmoidal sinus.
Intense enhancement at the thickened dura is noted in anterior temporal region.
Images 9 & 10: Axial post contrast fat saturation T1 weighted images at more cephalic
sections delineate the intracranial extension of the lesion posteriorly causing deformity
and obliteration of the normal structure in frontal region of the brain. Abnormal signal
and enhancement is also demonstrated at the scalp and the frontal bone in this region
